Hello, my name is Jeff Boyd. I've been learning Spanish for over 15 years, off and on. I've purchased and tried many different programs and taken many different classes.
Oftentimes I would get frustrated because I didn't feel any one thing I tried was "the answer". Though I felt I was making progress, I still couldn't understand most of what I saw on the Spanish language channels on TV. That frustrated me.
Also, when I visited Spanish-speaking countries, I couldn't speak very fast nor understand when a native speaker spoke rapidly. I found, however, that the more I spoke with them, and the more patient they were with me, we were able to communicate just fine! That told me that I "had learned" from the different methods I used!

I loved the fact that I could speak with people in other countries who couldn't speak english. Do you know how liberating that is? So many more experiences with other people and other parts of the world; as well as their rich cultures and histories, were now within my grasp! Recently, a "light" went off in my head. I began to embrace the concept of employing different methods to learn. Not all worked well from me but I found I could take what did work from each method and continue to use and practice them.

I realized that the best way to learn a language, any language, was different for each person. Any program that claimed they were "the" answer was only trying to con me. I've learned alot and am continuing to learn each day.

I decided to pass what I learned on to others. Within these pages, I'm not going to claim any program is "the best". I'll simply make recommendations where I feel a product could or should be a part of each person's repertoire (hey, look at that, a French word!).
